Halsey - Nightmare
Stopped by the police, dominatrix, punk singer or with blood around her lips… Halsey brings together a slew of trashy images in Nightmare, a powerful video where violence and sex are the key words. A celebration of girl power, the song is dedicated by Halsey to the young women in her fanbase. The models Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse both play a role, as does Debbie Harry, iconic singer of the punk pop band Blondie. The video was directed by Hannah Lux Davis, who has already done numerous videos for other female pop sensations from Ariana Grande to Demi Lovato.
Best known for Closer, her duet with the Chainsmokers in 2016, Halsey has already released two songs this year. In February 2019, she released 11 minutes with Yungblud and Travis Barker (from the group Blink-182). In April, she featured on the song Boy With Luv by the Korean pop band BTS, a veritable global sensation. The video quickly reached 78 million views on YouTube and broke the record for the most watched video in the first 24 hours.
