Lady Gaga, Travis Scott and Boiler Room launch their programs on Apple Music

Apple Music is revamping its radio. After offering shows animated by Action Bronson, Billie Eilish, Elton John and Frank Ocean, the Apple Music radio station “Beats 1” is changing to “Apple Music 1” and will continue with its in-depth interviews and the huge number of tracks being premiered in a new series of programs presented by Lady Gaga, Nile Rodgers, Travis Scott and J Balvin. The streaming platform will also be broadcasting more than 200 legendary DJ sets from the Boiler Room and has announced the launch of two new stations: Apple Music Hits and Apple Music Country.

Since the beginning of August, every Friday, Lady Gaga has been presenting Gaga Radio, a weekly show on the radio station Apple Music 1 (formerly known as Beats 1) offering exclusive interviews and a line-up conceived around her new album Chromatica. A show concept presented by well-known artists – such as Action Bronson, Billie Eilish, Jaden Smith, Elton John, The Weeknd and Frank Ocean – that has turned this station into one of the most listened to radios in the world since it launched back in 2015.

Apple recently announced a new series of shows to be presented by Nile Rodgers, Travis Scott and J Balvin, who provides a weekly mix dedicated to Latino music. This daring alternative to the algorithms allows artists to dialogue with their fans all while introducing them to up-and-coming artists. The streaming platform also revealed the creation of two new radio stations: Apple Music Country and Apple Music Hits, dedicated to hits from the 80s, 90s and 2000s. Just hearing the names of the stars involved makes us nostalgic, with mixes concocted by Snoop Dog, the Backstreet Boys, Alanis Morissette as well as R’n’B singer Ciara.

But the streaming platform isn’t stopping there, as well as giving them a show on Apple Music 1, Apple Music has obtained the rights to broadcast more than 200 DJ sets from the legendary hub of clubbing culture, the Boiler Room. This means we can finally enjoy live mixes by Carl Cox in Ibiza, Kaytranada in Montréal and Nicolas Jaar in New York on the music streaming platform.
