Following the exhibition Superflat that revealed a part of his personal ceramics collection at the Yokohama Museum of Art, Takashi Murakami is repeating the experience by presenting previously unseen creations at the Towada Art Center in Japan. The exhibition Takashi Murakami’s Superflat Consideration on Contemporary Ceramics looks at the work of 28 artists and big names in ceramics. From Naoki Koide’s fantastical creations and Yoshitomo Nara's manga inspiration to Rosemarie Trockel with her feminist take, all these pieces have been carefully collected by Takashi Murakami and reflect a vision of ceramics that is at once ancestral and contemporary.
Takashi Murakami’s Superflat Consideration on Contemporary Ceramics, from March 11th to May 28th at the Towada Art Center in Japan.
