The “Queer British Art 1861-1967” exhibition looks at the artistic treatment of the queer, gay, lesbian genre through the works of artists including Duncan Grant, David Hockney, John Singer Sargent and Dora Carrington. From a political, erotic and intimate perspective, this grand premier questions the interpretation of gender at a time when the concept of LGBT had yet to see the light of day.
